Thank you very much for visiting the HEART BANK Cooperative Association website. I am Toru Hosokawa, the Chairperson.

Since our launch in 2020, as a supervising organization for accepting technical intern trainees, we have served as a bridge between talented young people from overseas and Japanese companies seeking new vitality.

At the foundation of our activities are two origins that greatly changed my own life.

One is the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011. I was affected in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture.

Amid the immense damage, warm helping hands reached out to us from around the world as we lived in despair.

“Especially in difficult times, people support each other across borders.” The deep gratitude toward the world that I felt firsthand then is the starting point of all my activities.

The other is my work in the Rotary Club and my experience as a counselor for international students at an international university.

I have interacted with people from nearly 30 countries around the world—Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Ukraine, South America, and more—and have supported their lives and dreams.

Even if languages and cultures differ, if we have a “heart” that respects and cares for each other, we can surely understand one another.

And I became convinced that Japan is always connected with the rest of the world.

Japan is the safest country in the world and has a wonderful environment where one can live with peace of mind.

That trainees who come to Japan with dreams are respected as individuals and can work and live with peace of mind.

We believe that this is the greatest happiness for them and for the families back home who send them, and that it will serve as a solid foundation leading to the sound development of the host companies.

The Technical Intern Training Program is not merely a means of securing labor.

The passion of the trainees, and the expectations of the companies.

To sincerely accept both “hearts (HEART)” and build them up as reliable assets (BANK) for the future.

And to repay the kindness we received during the earthquake disaster by giving back to the world in the form of international contribution.

That is the mission of HEART BANK協同組合.

With a reliable supervisory system and the warmth of a family, we will work together to create a future in which everyone involved can shine with peace of mind.
